This enclosure looks great in our living room. We aren’t quite done furnishing the place for them but it’s good enough so far. We got another cheaper plastic cage and it broke the first day. Our kids love that they can watch the hamsters dig, run, eat and play easily. It reminds us of a pet store display. It wasn’t hard to assemble and I would recommend it.

I love this cage. I bought it for my dwarf hamster and it’s so easy to clean because of the lid being so big. Its super spacious for her and can hold a lot of bedding. The wood is super sturdy and so are the clear inserts. I wouldn’t recommend it for a Syrian hamster though, as it would not be big enough.

If you are concerned about having a cage that looks tacky, ugly, etc then this cage is for you. It’s very pretty but will be a bit more difficult to clean since you can’t just rinse it out like a traditional cage. It took a moment to assemble but the instructions are very clear. The space is good on paper for a robo hamster but after about a month at time of this review I noticed that a larger space and/or tunnels would be ideal. I would only recommend this cage for a robo hamster or two.

You have to assemble it yourself but don’t worry it’s not rocket science. If I can do it BY MYSELF, you can too. Instructions are easy to read and understand. There is an exact amount of screws that you need for the job so don’t lose any, pay attention to what you’re doing. The holes and alignment is perfect! There Was only 1 hole out of all that didn’t work for any screw, which is fine because it was still secured with other screws ? it’s a good size and I’ve already purchased another for home. I bought the first one to put in my classroom for my students since I was tired of then putting their fingers through the cage holes. Now they can see our class hamster without the worry of them hitting a cage or putting tiny fingers in.

I just got this cage yesterday and set it up today. The setup was really straightforward and the pieces went together PERFECTLY. This cage would not be big enough for a Syrian hammy but is the minimum size for a dwarf hammy.

Smooth on the top ,the hamster can’t not bite it

This cage is too small for a hamster to actually live in and thrive. The bare minimum should be 450 square inches of floor space. That’s the absolute minimum for their health. It will also be easier for the pet owner, to maintain a larger cage and bedding will cost less in the long term. A smaller cage is not easier long term. If you want a cage so that it looks cute and you don’t really care about how long your pet will live, then I guess this cage is for you. If you have even the smallest regard for the animal’s well-being, or better yet are hoping to provide the hamster a good life, then please consider a larger cage option, there are some on Amazon or you could go the DIY route. There are awesome ideas online and Siri or Alexa will even help you find them! Please make the right choice. And may the odds be ever in your hamster’s favor!

I wish this came larger, to actually meet minimim size requirements. Please don’t buy this – it’s WAY too small for even a robo ham.
